Ron should do a professionally shot video series with the tittle "Dispelling myths about Ron Paul" and release them in a press conference uploaded on his official campaign website.

I think it's very important that Ron does the dispelling himself and I think it would give us a huge boost in supporters.

1. he needs to start off saying that although people often disagree with him philosophically they often also agree with him but chose not to support him because of some myth about him out there

2. he needs to address the 'not electable' myth with stats of past presidents examples that beat the odds, polls showing his philosophies resonating more and more with the public and the amount of money he is being able to raise

3. he needs to show a compilation of clips of how he exercises daily to show he is healthy and fit and not too old

4. he needs to clarify he personally absolutely abhors any kind of drugs, prostitution, gambling, pornography and what ever else negative things that there might be myths about him being in support off

5. he needs to clarify he does not want a gold standard and that it would never be his policy to force it on the people and that what he actually wants is legal competition with the dollar

6. he needs to clarify that he wanted OBL captured, tried and executed if found guilty and if he were president that would have been one of his first priorities after 9/11 hence why he voted for going in into Afghanistan

7. ____________________ ( feel free to add what other myths are out there that he could set the record straight about )

I know he often tries to cover these with soundbites in interviews but those are on the fly answers, rarely perfectly explained and often leave holes that further invite myths about his policies.

I strongly believe we would greatly benefit if he recorded such a series, giving him enough time to explain and crush these myths but also having his lines checked by a PR expert to be as clear and effective as possible.

What do you think?

I like it. Also, anyone we find online that won't support Ron because of some myth they believe, we can simply direct them to the appropriate video on the campaign site where Ron will explain to them that what they think they know about him is actually not true at all. This could be a great tool for us to use.

I've had something like this in mind... I think it's a good idea for the campaign to record 3 to 4 minute videos of Ron Paul explaining his stances. Then add them to their respective issues section of the website.
This would:
1. Help him remain conscise when he has interviews
2. Possibly frame the discussion where the interviewer would have RP comment on his own words rather than some misinterpretation
3. Give us some place to definitively send people to learn more other than "Google Ron Paul"

A grassroots support can easily do something like this and put it on You Tube. Why wait for the campaign?

I concur. The grassroots could then mass produce the videos on cd-r's, each cd addressing a specific policy/issue, and whenever anyone says "I like Ron, but ____" we can grab a disc from a backpack and let the good Dr speak for himself.

I think one would have to be very careful how this was executed, else, we would be bringing to light certain "negatives" that our opposition have been pitching that many people have never even heard about. Not everyone are news hounds like we are.

I definitely think the grassroots could do our own compilation of clips, but sitting in your living room with RonPaul on the screen as if he is directly speaking to you would have a really nice appeal, me thinks. Also, we could mass produce cd's with grassroots "commercials"-style videos and bypass the hefty cash requirement for mainstream tv commercials. We must not forget that only a fraction of the population use YouTube regularly, and only a fraction of those use it specifically to find political videos...I mean think about it, only people as passionate as we are have the stomach to view, hear, or think about politics and politicians more than once or twice a year, mostly only during the last few weeks or so before an election. Hence the need to physically offer a cd to someone to view at their own leisure in the comfort and safety of their own homes.

My idea would only work if Ron shot it and used very specific language.

I think RonPaul.com issues page should have short videos on related issues, be it youtube or new clips. The clips where Ron predicts the economic collapse & predicts 9/11 are classic, must watch to possibly convert any undecided voter to at least give Ron a try.

My idea is not about issues.....................

It's a bout labels the media has pinned onto Ron that are completely fabricated such as: isolationist, gold bug, too old, for drugs and prostitution, ect.

I've done several videos like this, but the campaign should do one, cause not everyone... or barley anyone watches my 1000+ videos

It sounds like we're on the defensive and has a negative connotation to it....I don't like it.
