Regardless of the questionable behavior of the maid, the two did have a sexual encounter. So, the ultimate question of the case boils down to the fling being consensual or not.

Or is this just some kind of clown show where everybody looks bad? Will we ever find out?

Nuff said?

Please enlighten me, for I really haven't been studying the case.
In brevity, I am NOT for RAPE, and NOT for Daedalus stories.

I still think this is the "ordering a hooker" gone bad. These guys have special arrangements with some hotels. Room service takes on a whole new aspect.

If he did that, and then the maid walked in (which someone at the desk could have told her to go up there, hence setting up a really bad situation), DSK could have thought she was what he ordered, and her running away was just part of the whole thing. I could see why he'd want to flee if he realized it was a mistake, especially if he thought someone had set him up.

All of that is speculation, of course, but it seems to me a story that fits and isn't as far-fetched as some would believe.

Daedalus is EVERYWHERE!!!

You can call me stupid, who am I to believe?

With all the obfuscation, this story is rapidly turning into the French version of Monica & Bill ... LoL

Again, do we see an example of the law being manipulated by those individuals with the resources to circumvent it or is a potential dismissal true justice for DSK? The answer is likely the former.

Am I the only one who thinks the timing of all this is more than suspect? Didn't that LaGarde woman just get installed as the new IMF president? WTF?

No. Pieces on the grand chessboard are being moved, but identifying the extent of movement through all the smoke is tedious to say the least.

The information in this case is too hazy to really weigh in on right now.

Oh, so the DNA evidence doesn't matter in this case, eh? Ah, so ... the privileged class. ;)

He isn't out of trouble yet. Another attempted rape accusation surfaces:
