we all do what we can - I can't adequately describe how it comforts me to know that there are people out there that share our views and are increasingly, passionately pushing to put this country back to its true philosophical roots, the only thing that distinguishes it from the rest of the world.

+rep for that!

Forgive my ignorance, but wouldn't it be a bad idea to max out this early in the campaign? Ron will need money for at least the next 4 quarters, and another 2 for the general.

Great! I'm tapped out. I bought yard signs/bumperstickers/shirt, all official swag. Plus I used up all my fireworks fund. But I think my money will make more noise this way!

the majority who actually max out is slim PLUS you can max out for HIM then go grassroots.....

I say give when you got it

Negative. If you are planning on maxing out later, but have the money now, it would be better to get the money to the campaign today.

The reason is because the money can be used more efficiently now, early on, than it can be used later. I will use an extreme example to illustrate this point. Imagine Ron's campaign having 30 million today versus getting 100 million the day before the first primary. It would be way better to have the 30 today.

"right now, every dollar is worth as much as five dollars later on." -Ron Paul-

First and foremost, early money is 5x as valuable as late money it can be used to build the infrastructure needed to push through the whole campaign. And trust me ad buying is a lot cheaper when you are the only game in town who is trying to buy already.

Second, nobody is maxed out for the general I don't believe the campaign is accepting money for the general and even if they were it wouldn't be listed as cash on hand for the purpose of this quarters report.

No. If you are able to give now, rather than later, then the sooner the better.

Not only does donating now help the campaign spend the money more effectively, any popularity gained from spending that early money helps bring new donors into the campaign who can donate more later.

I repped you. I wish I could give more now, but I honestly can't.
