I'm not libertarian or an independent either....
I'm an American.
I used to be stationed in Turkey and Carlos Mencia did a USO tour show, and he said "I'm so sick of people asking me if I'm a republican or a democrat... if I'm a liberal or a conservative.... a red state or a blue state.... I'm a fucking American!" Everyone cheered so loud and it felt great to hear that cause it's true...
I believe it's "rude" to ask people if they are democrat or republican, and even if you don't believe it's rude to ask that, guaranteed you'll turn people off just by muttering those words. I don't understand why there's signs made for "republicans" or strategies to convert "democrats." If you're going to "convert" someone ask if they believe in personal liberties and peace, don't ask their party affiliation.
Take POLITICS out of the conversation and make it about PRINCIPLE.
