We should all be more optimistic about 2012 than about 2008. Ron Paul is much better known, has a base of support nationwide, is polling 2 to 3 times higher, the major issues are much more in his favor, and the field is weaker.

I get the sense that people are less optimistic though, judging from the modest fundraising start. Time to kick it up a notch....
