From the obvious - it's hard to door knock and phone bank a place that is underwater, to will this bring heavy snows impeding access to voting - how will this effect the campaign?

What about other things - I'm guessing a lot of farmers are going to go bankrupt, and while Paul has said he's not in favor of FEMA bailing disaster areas out, any candidate that says they are is going to, will get the votes of those effected.

What about food shortages of some commodities and skyrocketing prices as a result? That might help us.

Discussion?

the election is in 2012. it is june 2011. i don't think floods will still be a problem. people will still likely vote no matter what happens. if things get really bad it will likely drive more people to the polls. who knows what direction those votes will go. it is usually against those currently in power.
