Comments section lights up about Ron Paul

It's always encouraging when you go to an article that barely mentions Ron Paul and then you scroll down, Ron Paul's name is mentioned like a 1000 times in the comments section. Notice the highest rated comments are the ones that say, "Ron Paul 2012"? Puts a smile on my face. Want to know how I found out about Ron Paul? I read his name in the comments section of a Yahoo article long, long ago and the rest is history. This is a perfect example - article just came out.

Just like the superficial popularity contest on RPFs, you have to remember that the majority of the comments on articles posted on the InterNet are made by a particular demographic and not necessarily representative of the larger electorate. Lies are popular and truth hurts. People only unwillingly embrace truth when circumstances become even more unbearable by avoiding it.
