View Full Version : Double your donation thread (Sunday 6/26)

I've been mulling making a large donation to the campaign before the quarter ends, and I decided to try something to see if this can squeeze out more bang for the buck.

I normally wouldn't be willing to donate this much in one fell swoop. But I want RP to win Ames, and I hope everyone else does too.

So I will match every donation people make and post in this thread between now and midnight EST tonight (6/26), up to a total of $500. I wish I could go more, but I think I better set the limit there, which is frankly higher than I would do if I didn't think it could get some extra bucks out of some others.

Personally I lean toward making it to one of the Iowa projects (http://iowaforronpaul.com/projects.php) (the one I lean most toward is Top Gun). But I don't care if you do or not, I'll still match it within the limits I just gave.

Also, please don't stay up late watching for confirmation from me that I donated. I won't be up that late. So I'll check this thread tomorrow morning and donate the appropriate amount, and post my donation then.

If you want to participate, please post your donation amount, including your confirmation number, in this thread. And the time stamp for your post including that should be before midnight tonight.

I'm willing to participate. First, I would like to know if the confirmation # is somehow public information? If not, then I will donate again.

I don't think it's public information. I just don't want people to lie about donating.

By the way, I don't know what kind of brain fart I had that made me write 10/26 in the original thread title. I meant today, 6/26.

It's not in my self-interest to bump this.

But it's still under 200 now. I thought you all would make it hurt more than this.

I don't think I'll do that.

But maybe you can start another thread like this tomorrow where you'll match up to 250.

Weird. People were talking about the "you" for "your" typo somewhere else and it looks like it still sometimes comes up and sometimes doesn't.

Maybe it is paypal v. credit card whether you get the 'you' or 'your'?

+rep for the donation, in any event!
