My understanding is IMF and the Fed have SDR's (special drawing rights) on some or maybe much of the gold we hold? GATA has been talking about this for about 10 years.

The IMF's own website says it owns 91 million ounces of Gold at march 25th 2011.The 261 million ounces lletkemeyer mentions is the whole American holding,it seems.
