He has more racist comments attributed to Paul. (beyond the "fleet-footed" remark."

Looks like it comes from this item on the Daily Kos (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/6/5/193414/2787).

In politics, it is mandatory that one consider what is said, and how it can be constrewed or misconstrewed.

Note that this article was written after the Rodney King riot - a shining example of citizenship played out in the Watts and Compton communities. After that event, everyone, even black people I know, were thinking of how stupid it was.

But these neighborhoods don't represent 95% of blacks in America. Ron MUST be careful...

Attacking LA, or the riots is one thing - going after all of black America is another. Just gotta be careful...

Ask him if Ron Paul was so racist and said all of those things about blacks being criminal then why does he want to do away with the pot prohibition that was originally aimed at hispanics and blacks??

Many more are going to have difficultly avoiding the belief that our country is being destroyed by a group of actual and potential terrorists -- and they can be identified by the color of their skin. This conclusion may not be entirely fair, but it is, for many, entirely unavoidable.

I have a hard time disagreeing with this, with regard to the LA Riots. I think what he is saying is that while its certainly not fair to assume all blacks are involved, it is unfortunately a conclusion many will come to.

I think that that DID happen, and it was very detrimental to race relations in the U.S.

It's all about Divide and Conquer, and Ron Paul understands that. That's why the media plays things like this up, and constantly shows us images of black youth behaving badly. It is to keep the white populations fearful of them so that we do not unite against the real criminals.

Those "racists" remarks are not from Ron at all.

Paul will do more for minorties then any other President in History. He will treat them the same as everyone else is treated. The first step at ending racism! Many of Paul's social issues I'm not in favor off. For the life of me I can't understand why gay people can't get married but by giving the power back to the states things like this will become more commen and grow in acceptence.

Basically, Ron just wants the government to get out of the marriage business. Leave it to religious orginizations, family and individuals.
