The server is already crashing and the jay leno show hasn't even started to air. For all us addicted to the counter, please no one go to the website for the rest of the day so it can be available to the flood of people wanting to research him after the show. I know, its hard for me to :D

I'd just rather someone who has never heard of him be able to get to it than myself.

the server is reaching max now and is failing to respond for every 3/10 requests. So if it works fine for you than its not working for another person. Which is kinda the point behind this thread.

Right now the website does not work for me. I won't go there because it IS the heavy traffic. I can't believe they didn't upgrade their servers after they went out last time. Didn't they upgrade after last time? Why not if so!

Go to nexpoint.net. They are located there in DC and are 1 block away from the major internet backbone and the NAP to Europe.

There could be a number of reasons for the issues.

Packet loss, network congestion, DDos etc.

Everyone, just relax, get ready for Leno and have a wonderful evening.

couldn't of said it better myself. Lets just all relax, not worry about whether or not the server is up and just assume it is. No need to check on it. I know this thread is going to probably backfire and create more traffic to the site, but think about it like this. For everytime today you open the website ron paul could loose a potential supporter. It's not entirely accurate but if it helps motivate you to stay off and give more connections to the newbies than by all means. Unless of course you're donating :)

DAMMIT! This is exactly what a few thousand people are thinking. It's going to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Everyone is going to go to the site, fearing it's not working. That by itself will cause the site to crash.

I understand your concern, but at most, this thread will increase the sites hit by about 20 people in the last 15 minutes, if his site can't handle that, we are in trouble.

thats 20 potential ron paul voters that didn't get the info they were looking for :rolleyes:

Even if this thread increases the traffic a bit temporarily thats fine, because once the show airs a lot more will be aware and hopefully be over it. Better to get the curiosity out of the way now than later.
