View Full Version : Wanted: People with HD cameras for grassroots video

Im taking on the project for a grassroots support video. This idea has been floating around for over a year in probably a dozen threads and its time to make it happen

What I need: About 10 people who have HD quality cameras willing to read a script of general support points for Ron Paul

It is either going to be an "I support Ron Paul" or an "I am Ron Paul" themed video

It will showcase about 10 persons giving endorsements with specific policies that leave Ron Paul ahead of everyone else. It will be packaged in a good quality and alternate between the 10 people. It will end with thumbnail videos of anybody else who wants to participate (hopefully hundred). It will serve as a hub for all of these videos to point and link back to

I am Ron Paul because:

"I don't spend money that I don't have and the government shouldn't either"
"I support our military, and bringing them home safely and quickly" (soldier hugging)
(older person) "My Grandkids are counting on me" (flashing debt clock)
(young person)"My Grandparents are counting on me" (flashing medicare /SS bankrupt)

etc. If you have lines and suggestions please post them up using this theme

I have a Kodak Zi8 that shoots in 1080p, if this is acceptable, I am in. :)

I live in Vegas so I can have the strip in the background. It would be cool if we had other major landmarks.

Added and good idea with landmarks. Would also be preferable to have a wide variety of demographics (age, sex, culture)

This would be youtube unless shortened. Would need a different script to fit in 30 seconds, but if I get enough contacts then this could also be done.

My husband and I would both do it....and I have 4 kids at home who'd love to help too. No major landmarks though (besides the ocean). Whatever you need. It's a great idea!

Just about ready to start this off.


Once I find out demographics, Im going to send out a PM asking each person to read off specific lines. I will send out a youtube of myself doing it so there is no confusion. It may not make complete sense to you while doing it, but it will all be for the final product.

No no no.... get everyone to read ALL the lines... Trust me, this is not the first time I have done this.

Yeah thats the plan. Thats why it may seem weird to people while they are reading it :). Also any suggestions for script are welcome.

Well I could write a script, but I was hoping to let someone else contribute that and then we could edit it together. Remember to keep everything as really short sound bites.

Getting the script ironed out with my own youtube sample to show how to do it. I will then PM everyone both the script and video of myself doing it. Just been a little tied up with work as its our busiest week of the year. Keep an eye out, will be in your inboxes soon. Also if anyone else wants to join in could use a few backups.
