Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) are no longer roommates.

The Kentucky senator moved in with the 2012 White House hopeful soon after winning his election last fall, but the arrangement didn’t last long.

...

The senator moved out because he couldn’t handle the notorious Washington traffic and the trips back and forth from the condo in Alexandria, Va.

“He couldn’t stand the commute,” the elder Paul told ITK.

After getting a place on Capitol Hill, the senator now walks to work.

True story

Ya right, you know Ron was yelling at him to clean his room and for coming home late and worshiping Aqua Buddha in his room. Rand needed his independence.

The comments there are epic :-P

But yes, Rand Paul is a real man of the People. How many other Senators have ridden the subway recently?

Perfectly understandable. Commuting sucks.

I thought this was a metaphysical statement on his political philosophy.

Nah, Rand doesn't seem like the dirty room type. Ron can probably only handle Permanent Waves being cranked to maximum volume so many times.

Ron on the other hand refuses to ever ride the metro out of principle

That sounds like bullshit. If he didn't ride the metro out of principle, he wouldn't take his salary either. Do you have a source of him making that statement?

Joe Biden loves the trains. Talks about them all the time.

Rand has even less fashion sense than me. (Actually I'd love to go out dressed like that, but my wife would disown me.)

 I've not seen any evidence that Rand supports anything but a humble foreign policy and no nation building.

And the reason Rand never supported nation building before moving into his dad's house is.....?

Ron was actually in office when it came up, I think. So he took a position and now is consistent. He drives highways etc on the theory of 'once you are forced to pay for them'.

He's sneaking a look...

BTW, if there really is a NWO, why don't they assassinate Rand Paul? God forbid such a thing. But, he's speaking truth to power and takes the train unscathed.

Have you ever rode the Metro? Nobody is happy to throw away $5 during peak hours to be crammed in a metal box with people. In fact on that note Rand is a true man of the people because nobody smiles while on that thing.

He is wearing one of his favorite shirts from the campaign trail. The shoes, as always, one of a kind.
