Magellan Strategies is not an actual polling operation. Instead, they're a consulting firm on the payroll of the Republican National Committee and Americans for Prosperity that publishes polls tailor made to boost establishment Republican candidates.

This isn't that off the other NH polls pre debate, except for MB surging and Cain dropping, though. While I agree the media clearly is currently pushing Bachmann as the one to take on Romney (just look at the bizarre make up of the Time magazine poll for example) I'm not sure this benefits the RNC, except for the Romney part, which no one is discounting. The race right now is to be the anti Romney then hope others who don't like Romney will fall in line when your candidate becomes the top challenger.

They called the KY Primary closer than anybody else and right on the general election there too.

I was going to say, they were the only ones showing Rand leading by 25%, while most others showed 15%. He won by 24%....

I certainly wouldn't discount their opinion entirely, although as we point out in all these threads, none of the polls are rated for accuracy this far out, and can therefore be used to manipulate.

This is actually better than I expected. Notice how far the other declared candidates are down the list?
