In the description I mention the money bomb on July 19th. If you think this is a decent video please "like" etc to make it viral. Thanks for watching.

That is very evocative but does the beginning play into the idea that he is 'blame America'? Because that is the idea thrown at him by neocons even though it isn't true at all. It is a spectacular video though. Maybe that clip it didn't go first? But I definitely 'like it'. (and did, on youtube)

I knew it would be unsettling and perhaps turn a few people off from the video having such a depressing and dark beginning, but I put it first because I wanted the viewer to have a kind of "gut check" moment, and then offer Ron Paul and the message as a solution to that feeling... I tried to make the video build more than any video I've made. I played around with having that beginning part in the middle but I couldn't get the video to flow very well that way. I kind of ran out of room on my hard drive for any more youtube clips as well. haha

I don't like it. :o Although, I can see what you're trying to accomplish and think it's worthy of another try.

Firstly, the music is so out of place. It's this cheesy salute-the-flag "Mericuh!" type of stuff. It has no power. So if you want to start again with this video, begin by choosing different music. You are going into dark places with your imagery and narrative. Dark places most Americans don't want to go. When you couple that with goofy patriotic music it's like a mockery. People will be seriously turned off by it, or just not get it. If the narrative is dark, the music must be dark.

Second, I would start your video with the Kokesh speech you currently have at the end. Think of it as an intro. You can place a fast paced pounding music clip under it which comes to an abrupt stop when the Kokesh clip ends. [cut to black - fade up] This will grab the viewers attention and have them glued to their seat. Next, use slower mournful music under the 1st soldier's story of Iraq. Then go to the soldier that is currently at 2:10. He'll lead into this being a video about Ron Paul. Then you can have the music go from mournful to hopeful and possibly all the way to triumphant.
(I'd cut the Ron Paul Revolution logo in the beginning.)

The more I think about the purpose of this video, the more I think you should not label it as a "Ron Paul" video. Don't title it "Ron Paul" this or what have you. Make it about the wars. Everybody wants the wars to end, go after that audience. If you make it a "Ron Paul" video from the get go, you'll lose a whole lot of people. This doesn't mean you should take any clips of Ron Paul out. You and I both know it's a Ron Paul video, but you've got to trick your audience into watching it.

Just ideas, take 'em or leave 'em. In the end, it's your project and you've got to do what your inspiration tells you :) Glad to have you working on these things! :)

*You might want to think about taking out the eagle and flag imagery out as this felt quite Neo-Con'ish. Or simply use it less.

**If you feel like re-editing it, I can assist with mixing in a music track if you like.

Some music examples that might fit better...

Wow thanks for the critique! Sometimes I get so lost in the project I am trapped in it and can't see what I'm doing from a non sleep-deprived perspective. haha.

I'll make some changes that you suggested and post it either tonight or tomorrow. :)

Dude, I totally understand that! :D Sometimes when I'm working into the wee hours of the morning on some music or whatever and I think "I've got something really good!". Then I come back to it after sleeping, and I have no idea what I was trying to do or what exactly it was supposed to be. It's weird how creativity works. But just because it doesn't strike a chord now doesn't mean that there isn't something there. It's like carving a statue out of a block of wood, keep at it until it emerges.

probably wouldn't work, but eh

this one might be too slow and too dark.

If you want something semi-patriotic without being overtly so, this is a great choice. BTW, if you haven't watched Lonesome Dove, it's totally worth it!
