Ok, so he has a blackberry but his daughter gave him an iPad for Christmas.. apparently he uses the iPad more for web surfing

That is a tough choice when one of the things was closely related to a present from his daughter..

All of the candidates had to answer “this or that” questions from CNN’s John King last night,...

I could not believe that CNN was participating in these elementary school type of questions.
It is a presidential debate for crying out loud... not a game show.

Pretty sure he was thinking the following during the pause:

"WTF is this stupid shit? Really? Is anyone here serious? Don't you fucking people understand the depths of the problems facing this nation? Are we in high school here?"

I missed the debate but why would Ron Paul even answer this? Multiple endless wars/occupations in the Middle East, a deficit in the trillions of dollars, real unemployment near 20%, a security apparatus bordering on a police state...and this is where the focus is? Who gives a flying f*ck??

Yeah, especially with John King interrupting every few seconds to tell the candidates we have to keep going to have time to let the audience ask questions.

Uh, why don't you just let them finish and forget the nonsense.

I was trying to figure out who sounded like a brain-damaged idiot the entire debate...finally figured it must have been the host.

There's semi-polite ways to interrupt people during debates that don't involve saying "uh" every, literally, 5 seconds.

I wish he had said just that.

"Are you kidding me? We have our young people dying overseas, coming home unable to make their mortgage payments, skyrocketing healthcare costs, civil liberties being intruded upon... and we waste time on pointless gimmick questions?"

Peter Schiff spent most of the time of his talk about the debate criticizing Ron Paul for not being more confident in this answer.

They are only catering to the lowest common denominator.

The grade level of rhetoric by politicians has been continuously sliding down as Americans become more and more illiterate.

I wonder if CNN got paid anything for promoting those brands during the debate.

Probably part of their advertising contract with those corporations.

"What does he mean Blackberry vs iPhone is not an important question? The American people care more about issues like that than the stupid money issues he keeps talking about. What a silly candidate."

Let the pundits spin their wheels. There's no way any voter will badly about complaining about a stupid question like that during a presidential debate.

He would have been labeled as out of touch with mainstream America and seen as too stuffy to connect with the common folk. American Idol audience, yo!

'I'm sorry, but as a presidential candidate speaking in public it isn't my place to promote one corporation's product over another. Americans own stock in, and work for, both of these corporations, and they deserve a level playing field to compete on. It's my place to explain how I'll place something above all of the corporate products and agendas--namely the interests of the American People.'
