I dreamed a dream that I had a large beloved pet cat with whom I was silently tussling in a playful affectionate manner. It was a feisty cat, as many cats are, but because of its relative size compared with me, it was still the subservient in the relationship, and in the games we played together, as all pets should be.
But as we tussled, the cat began to grow. And the more it grew, the more lion-like it became, and the more effort was required from me to keep tussling with it, yet no matter what I did, it wouldn’t stop playing and leave me be. As the dream continued, the cat’s growth continued, and as we continued to tussle against my will, and as the tussle turned into a struggle–an effort to stop the cat’s increasingly aggressive advances–the playful pet’s every feature gradually morphed into the features of a kingly lion; until, finally, the once affectionate tussling had taken on an element of mortal...
