Anti anything Obama does, similar to most republicans

Actually, I think Shep is a pretty good indicator of your typical American. I don't think he gets into the red team/blue team thing. In fact, if you watch Shep enough, you may gain clues into what kind of persuasion techniques work with those who don't pay real close attention to details.

He probably drew the short straw.

Sort of the way Glenn B became 'libertarian' after Ron's campaign, and the Judge got FreedomWatch

maybe its his Cronkite moment (LBJ knew he was toast once Cronkite turned against the war)

The step Ghandi forgot: Then they try to usurp your message. A la Huntsman.

Shep raised hell about torture before, against it, saying it was unamerican.

And I quote...
This is AMERICA, and in AMERICA - We Don't. FUCKING. TORTURE!!!

He was pretty fired up and angry about it. It was truly epic. I'm sure there is a video online about it somewhere.

Wow. Shep Smith definitely seems to have some good outbursts sometimes.

I detected a lot of sarcasm as if he was mocking Volker near the end of the video. Especially when he said "Our not war is approaching a billion dollars. But its not a war and we're not taking sides"

Not to mention that he even called Iraq and Afghanistan endless wars, and mentioned our involvement in Syria.

Even the Rolling Stone piece on Foxnews said that Shep was pretty independent and not controlled by Ailes

He's pro-establishment, though. He absolutely butchered Ralph Nader undeservedly. Not that I'm Nader's biggest fan, but Shepard Smith is truly a master of spin.
