This is an interesting twist. Kind of reminds me of Wikileaks.
You can click the button on that page and it will serve up a different e-mail.

Here's the text:

The state of Alaska has released more than 24,000 pages of emails relating to Sarah Palin, in printed form. This is a scan of one page of the release. If it contains interesting material you can:
• tweet it to us @gdnpalin. Include the hashtag #palinemails. Please include this page's url eg http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/jun/10/sarah-palin-emails-sarahpalin38, or
• email us at palin.emails@guardian.co.uk. Don't forget to include the url.

The e-mails themselves are image files.

Who knows - this might even be more popular than Google Guitar...

LOL!

I'm not a Palin fan, so to speak, but it is awfully tempting to find innocuous but long emails to tweet up for review....

I personally think dumping someone's emails for all the world to comb through, without probable cause, is a little rank. I agree we need FOIA for political secrets, but not for smear campaign fishing expeditions.

Apparently no one has found anything bad. The emails seem to be good for Palin, not bad.

as alaska's governor, in an email to an aide,
she makes a glib quip about our own jane swift's
travel expenses and gubanatorial trappings of office.
since jane swift was briefly our governor for only
9 months about a decade ago, this got airplay.

They didn't release all of them.....her lawyers combed through them for weeks censoring out anything critical before releasing these, there are over a couple of thousand that won't be released at all. Here is a good example of what they did to many of her emails.

When the Alaska Legislature appointed investigator Stephen Branchflower to look into possible ethics violations by Gov. Palin's role in the "Troopergate" case, the Palin administration's response was to spread rumors about his wife to attack his credibility
The conversation is heavily censored. The current governor's office withheld most of the e-mail thread. But the progression is clear. It starts with the subject line, "Fw: Branchflower," with questions posed by the Anchorage Daily News, which asked whether the Palin administration's planned to cooperate with the investigation. The content is mostly marked "Privileged or Personal Material Redacted." Then Palin changed the subject line to "Re: Fairness?: Branchflower." We can't see what the governor wrote. Then the governor changed the subject line again, to "Re: MRS.: Fairness?: Branchflower,"
