We have been talking about the Ron Paul Newspaper and a possible ad buy. While I would still like to see RPFs buy an ad, I have gone ahead and started a chip-in to promote Tax Free Tips. The chip-in is for $440, but we will buy whatever ad size we can depending on funds raised.

I just put up a blog post here

The Austin Ron Paul Meet-Up group is publishing a newspaper for free distribution in early primary states. They are raising money to publish by selling ads. I like where they are going with this and am working on a few different ad buys. This one, in particular, will advertise Ron Paul’s Tax Free Tips Act of 2011, and will lead readers to a website where they can get further information on the bill, and how to take action.

This is a dual purpose fundraiser, primarily helping the Austin folk to raise the necessary funds for publication, and secondarily, providing useful info to the readers that can then help get the bill some traction

You can read more about the project, including a listing of what will be in the newspaper at the following link:

And we are in the process of consolidating websites such as:

The minimum ad buy is $72 and the maximum is $440. Needless to say I will put up the biggest ad we can manage.

Are we going to revive this sort of thing? There is a lot of buzz right now. We can build an army of tip earners to vote for Ron Paul. TaxFreeTipAct.com

I have been pushing this for several weeks here in Danville, VA. Lots of textile jobs lost over the past 10 years and a high unemployment rate. Danville also ranks on the lowest tier of healthiness in the state and they love to eat. I usually leave a $5.00 plus tip and leave several of the tip cards. When I pay my tab, I ask if they like paying taxes on their tips and I get a sad face, lol.

I have mailed out a letter with tip cards to many restaurants in the area and may hit Greensboro, NC next weekend. IMO, this is the most perfect way to get Ron's name out into public, especially the young people. If everyone took one day and visited as many restaurants as possible passing out flyers/tip sheets or whatever, I truly feel that this could be a huge momentum push for Ron.

I will give $40.00 tomorrow. I hope this helps.

Yikes, or maybe I can't donate. Has it been closed?
