Does conduct of Congressman Anthony Weiner in the aftermath of his "sexting" scandal warrants his resignation in your view?

Anthony Weiner's Leaked X-Rated Photo Adds Pressure for Resignation

Snapshots of Breitbart's phone displaying the erect penis later appeared on the website Gawker, though it's unclear how they were obtained. Breitbart, who had previously said he would not release the photo, apologized for the leak, which he called unintentional.

ABC News independently obtained a copy of the same explicit image from Meagan Broussard, one of the women with whom Weiner had risque online chats. Email records show Broussard received the photo, along with several others, on May 18 from an email address used by Weiner.

Alleged Weiner nude photo released by radio hosts

But the two radio hosts goaded Breitbart into showing the photo -- via his cell phone -- to them and some staffers, as well as actor Vincent D'Onofrio, who was also an in-studio guest Wednesday. Breitbart claimed Weiner had sent the photo to "a gal down in Texas."

After Breitbart left the studio, the Opie & Anthony crew, according to their tweets, used footage from their in-studio surveillance camera to grab a still photo off Breitbart's phone screen. Gawker published the uncensored photo, which does not include Weiner's face or any other clues that it is him.

Who cares? I would think he would for his family's sake, but I honestly don't care, the man no longer has any influence.

But Vitter is still there, and he wore a diaper.....didn't he?

naw, he should resign because he doesn't understand freedom. Not because he took a picture of his dong.

He would probably resign if he could save face.

It's not about a photo/photos, it's his conduct showing his incompetence/ease of repeated lying.

He believed he had real trusting relationships with total strangers he found on the internet. He therefore has proven mentally unfit to hold that position. The risk is too great for his constituents and the country.

It's not about a photo/photos, it's his... ease of repeated lying.

For that reason, I would want him to resign. He had everyone going with the whole "I'm not reporting this to the FBI because it would cost taxpayer money for a stupid prank". If he had told/lied to the FBI, he'd be charged with a felony. Lying to us is perfectly fine though ;)

I wouldn't expect him to resign, though. He's a politician. He likes power. I am quite content with the fact that he will never be mayor of NYC, because he was going to try.

Ah heck. I guess in a sane world, probably yes. But, considering that we still have congressmen in office like Charles Rangel and Sheila Jackson Lee with ethics violations out the kazoo, what Weiner did is not much at all.

Since you're comparing with others, a hypothetical question. If it were President Obama caught doing exactly what Congressman Weiner was allegedly doing with these women online and making up same claims on national TV cameras afterwards, would you still have said it "is not much at all"?

If incompetent liars all resigned from Congress it would be fairly empty, and Ron would have top seniority, so that standard does have something to be said for it....

Can't disagree with that.

Ofcourse we can't have all Congress critters resign overnight. But in this case a demonstrated incompetent official to whom lying seems as natural as breating sitting on a financial or military or any committee deciding future policies for American public seems grossly profane.

Dunno, I guess. I'm just not all hot and bothered about this issue, I guess. I'm more after those who are actively trying to bring our country down.

Boot him, if you want. Fine with me. Please take with him the 90 percent of our congress who are lying, cheating, traitorous bums.

Other: It's up to him and his constituents. I don't care considering he didn't break the law. He does have extremely poor judgement for his actions and lying. However, I would have never voted for him to begin with.

I believe his party will strongly pressure him to step down.

I didn't see tarred and feathered as an option, so I voted "Other." Granted, it has nothing to do with Weiner's weiner.

Um.... didn't this pretty much happen late 1998- early 1999?
Seems like "it is not much at all" was the answer then.

It doesn't really matter to me. The fact that his first impulse was to lie and make up a complete BS story should just show his constituents who he really is.

HE WILL LIE TO YOU UNTIL HE HAS NO CHOICE!!

From there, it's up to them to force him out or at least not vote for him.

As long as he stays in, though, his influence will be greatly diminished. That's a good thing.
