View Full Version : CNBC: Friends in High Places: Bilderberg 2011 Kicks Off

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, naturally, isn't attending this year, and his likely successor Christine Lagarde is in China, but the Bilderberg Conference which kicks off in the Swiss resort of St Moritz on Thursday retains its conspiratorial chic and pulling power.

The attendee list of Bilderberg is still pretty much the only thing that is not a closely guarded secret, as 120 of the world's richest and most powerful individuals meet behind closed doors, this time at the Suvretta House hotel in Switzerland, a venue which not only boasts a "fairytale castle" design, but also its own "Teddy World".

UK Prime Minister David Cameron and Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne are known to have attended in the past – before their party entered government – although it seems unlikely that either will attend this week.

A spokesperson at the UK Treasury press office said it "didn't know" whether or not Osborne would go this year but promised to call CNBC.com back. They did not. Given the secretive spirit of Bilderberg, that could well be taken as a confirmation.

So, are Ron Paul supporters ready to believe the Bilderberg group is real, or is it still just a silly Conspiracy theory? I've been openly attacked for talking about the Bilderberg group in the past.

More attention than usual is being afforded to this year's meeting of the Bilderberg group June 9-12 in St. Moritz, Switzerland, as critics prepare for protests.

These guys just don't get it. The Bilderberg meetings are criminal. The attendees are traitors. How many more will they get away with before they go to jail?

I was gunna go but i spilled coffee all over my invitation. Last time Burnanky got all drunk and acted like an ass in front of everyone anyway. Bilderberg was cool back in the day but now its just tapped. When they let hillary in i knew the party was just about over.

Haven't you guys heard? The only meetings of rich dudes, media barons and political leaders that matter are the ones connected to the Kochtopus.

I never thought I'd have this thought. It doesn't represent what I believe about warfare, and it certainly doesn't square with my feelings toward the lovely nation of Switzerland. But I'm just more than ready to see a surgical airstrike executed against a certain target on Swiss soil...

Eventually, the truth of the conspiracy will have to be realized by the people. It is now being eased into the public eye so that it is more accepted. Eventually, we will be forced to accept this group and others like it whether we want to or not.

I feel guilty for wishing this would happen as well. It's against my morals, but I really hate the NWO.

I saw a great comment on one of the articles. The question not being asked is "Who invited them?". I would love to know exactly who decides who is invited to this event.

I have seen that the moderator and host of these things is Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. I'd imagine its more the multinational bankers like the Rothschild and Warburg families that decide who attends.

I heard Hilary Clinton is seeking to take Robert Zoellick's "World Banks" place if he leaves. This is the stuff I think they discuss.

I don't know. Maybe some have been deluded into believing he is, or want to believe it. RP can exploit this in a debate: "Mitt, what did you discuss in Switzerland at the Bilderberg meeting?" If Mitt denies being there, maybe RP would have some evidence (photos, perhaps) to whip out. If the mere fact of attending this sort of meeting didn't finish off Mitt's chances of winning, being exposed as a liar sure would!
