The interesting thing is sometimes people do weird things.

The interesting thing is most people would warm up to the idea very quickly I think.

The interesting thing about interesting things is that they can sometimes prove to be extremely interesting.

I'd be interested to find out if this interesting thing did as well.

I agree it would be weird. While I would not oppose it per se, I think it would cost us some votes, rather than gain votes.

I don't know. If you think about it for a minute, it actually makes a lot of sense. I mean, if you are voting for a man for President, it is because you have signed on to his platform. How best to ensure that it would be carried out if something happened to Ron, than to have Rand as his VP?

I dunno. Works for me. :D

VP's aren't usually picked until after the nomination, and if Rand were picked as a running mate in the event of a RP primary win, it would more than likely energize the Republican base and help in the long run.

I agree. Thinking about it post-nomination, I think it would work really well. But I respect the fact that Rand has a very bright and successful career ahead of him. So if nothing else, i'll be looking forward to seeing him on the ballot in 2016 or even 2020.
