View Full Version : If you haven't already, I recommend Jeff Tucker's articles on Mises.org

I read all sorts of economic articles on how the Fed destroys the economy, how congress is taxing and regulating people and businesses to death, and how our foreign wars are unethical and that they are bringing us to brink of bankruptcy.

Then comes Jeffrey Tucker. This guy tries so hard to convince us that free markets and capitalism are beneficial to our daily lives in such matters as washing machines, dishwashers, lightbulbs, child labor, garbage pickup, etc to infinity. And he is quite convincing.

He is doing what all of us should be doing to help out Ron Paul's campaign for the presidency -- convincing average Americans on how free markets will improve people's daily lives.

He is not a subtle writer at all either. After reading his articles on Mises.org you automatically know he is pro-liberty and anti government. But it doesn't matter. He provides enough examples from real-life experience that you almost have no choice but to relate this this guy.

Read his stuff. It will enlighten you, and will seem especially enlightening to young people that reject the conventional wisdom that is shoved down their throats in public schooling.

Tucker is kind of quircky, but a mental giant. There are a few speeches by him floating around, I highly recommend them.

You're right. He is quirky. Which is why I recommend the articles and not the speeches. Not that I hate his quirky style. I just feel that his articles on Mises will be more readily accepted than his speeches.

Jeffrey Tucker is awesome. Who else can write an article titled The Shaving Cream Racket (http://www.lewrockwell.com/tucker/tucker65.html)?

I'm a Catholic who has been following Jeff Tucker's posts on Catholic sacred music at The Chant Cafe and The New Liturgical Movement for a long time, so I was totally stoked when I realized he was the same Jeff Tucker who writes awesome stuff at Mises.org. He's basically one of my favorite people.
