Economist Robert P. Murphy, whom you should be reading regularly, testifies before the House Subcommittee on Oversight and Government Reform on the subject of Federal Reserve activity and gas prices.

Bob Murphy testifies on May 25, 2011 before the Subcommittee on Oversight and Government Reform on the topic of gasoline prices and Fed policy. Near the end Dennis Kucinich asks Murphy if the Fed should be transferred under direct Treasury control, and Murphy gives an answer far more radical.
The Fed just miiiiiiight have something to do with rising gas prices?... only a crazy anarchist would think so!
