It was one of the articles where Santorum's coming out that he is running was covered, and it mentioned all the candidates, except Ron, saying there were now 5, not 6 in the race.

It was published in one of those obscure "corrections" boxes that few people ever read. Did you see the first link on the page "(6/7/11)"? Newspapers often do this when they make mistakes.
