I say let's ask the official campaign what dates they would prefer. They may know more than we do. If it's more dates than you would like, donate less. If it's fewer dates than you would like, donate more. Plus this will eliminate all of the confusion, wasted energy, and potential sputtering enthusiasm referred to in another thread. It will likely allow the campaign to plan better, also. It will be inspiring because they are dates picked by Ron himself (with professional advice as well). I think we have nothing to lose and only more to gain in terms of total donations and in more intelligent revenue streams.

I'm fine with it.

Do you recall the last thing Ron Paul did during the '08 campaign? He asked us to have a march on Washington D.C., but then asked us to pick the date.

That said, if the campaign has any good suggestions for a money bomb we should be all ears.

This is my revised schedule idea taking Bryan's end of quarter pushes into account.

How about:

June 6 - June 30 -- End of second quarter push
Ready, Ames, Fire! July 19th
Ron Paul Birthday bomb August 20th
Constitution day bomb Sep 17-30 end of quarter push
mid Oct (11-17) -- money bomb (theme TBD)
Nov 11th Support Troops and Veterans.(Ron paul is the only veteran.)
Tea party bomb Dec 16th

We should talk about this in the fundraising forum.

Are you sure Glee Club Romney isn't an armed services veteran :D

The campaign can certainly have the option of leaving it up to us, as far as I'm concerned. I have a feeling the official campaign might relish the opportunity to set the schedule.

I think the dates should be set by the grassroots (it looks better that way anyway), but after we agree on dates, it wouldn't hurt to get Ron's endorsement of the schedule.

There's no contact information at the ronpaul2012 site so I sent an email to Ron's Congressional Office with the forum link. I suggested if they were interested in setting a money bomb calendar that they act quickly and through whatever channels they deem appropriate. I have no idea if it will get read and passed on. If so, maybe we can at least get some input. I'm sure the campaign won't want to step on our libertarian toes and if they wish to make suggestions it will be ultimately left up to us. Here is the text of the email (if anyone has better ideas on how do get the attention of the Campaign please chime in here):

"Hello:

I am a frequent participant in the Ron Paul forums and there is quite a bit of discussion about future money bomb dates. I started a thread tonight suggesting that Dr. Paul and his campaign staff select the money bomb schedule. If it is something they are interested in then they might want to pursue it quite quickly through whatever channels they deem appropriate. This is the thread:

Thank you.

PS there was no contact information that I could see on ronpaul2012 dot com so I'm sending it to the Congressional Office."

Should we give it some time to breathe before we make such a big decision? I mean we just had one yesterday!

If plan you must then lets go with the Nov 4!
