That old pic of Ron is hot stuff. Given his age, he's healthy and smart and sharp and kind and happy and gallant. Carol could give us all investment advice.

Based on the neck muscles, I imagine Ron looks something like this when he takes his shirt off:

No, they connect to the skull. (no muscles connect to the brain, but there are tissues connecting the inner skull to the brain) nanana booboo to you, too!

It's all part of maintaining the stiff spine to withstand special interests. We can clearly see who has it.... :p

Oh, man. He may wish whoever posted that hadn't....

I of course saved it to hard drive immediately....for the next time someone trots out crap about his age...

but I will think twice about actually posting it. I think.

Mariusz Pudzianowski. He's won the World's Strongest Man competition a bunch of times. Also played Conan in the Polish adaption of Conan the Barbarian.

So do I. But people who hate him will find some way to make fun of it, because they have nothing of substance to go for. I mean, take Cain, we have a smorgasboard. The man has no foreign policy, he was a TARP cheerleader, he was a big part of an Enronesque scandal, he was chief of the Kansas city Fed.... no one has to make fun of his pictures in the swimming pool.

I wouldn't have saved it if I didn't think first that he looked good and it would undercut people snarking about his age. I just have this nagging feeling I might not be doing him any favors.

He (or whoever runs the page) posted it on his official Facebook page. I don't think there's any harm in re-posting it elsewhere.

You guys understand that Ron's 100 yd & 220 yd dash times were blazing fast, right? Would be very fast even by today's high school standards.

Wasn't he just .3 secs off Jesse Owen's time for the 100 back then, and then messed up his knee?

From anaconda on that thread:

Plus keep in mind that these times were on dirt tracks with less than state of the art footwear. 9.7 was blazing for a high school kid. Under 22.0 rocks in the 220 also. I have to seriously question, however, that 9.9 & 21.8 were the "third best all-time college marks." I mean Jesse Owens set world records while a student at Ohio State in the 1930's. In fact, he set 4 world records within 45 minutes om May 25th, 1935, including 9.4 in the 100 yd dash and 20.3 at 220 yds

The 9.9 time was 3rd best for Gettysburg College.

Yup, he won World's Strongest Man about 4 times. He's also a pretty unsuccessful Mixed Martial Artist. He's too muscular and gases out quickly.

I believe Ron ran 9.7 in high school. World record was 9.3 at the time of Ron's running career (Mel Patton).

L. Ron Hubbard books start VERY WELL, then get super creepy imho. I put down Battlefield Earth not too long after the guy started eating rats. That wasn't the reason, it just marks my place in the book, so to speak. (It was kinda interesting, because he ate a rat out of desperation and near starvation, so the aliens decided that was what he ate, and kept giving him rats.... Then later in the book one alien said to another 'Well, what do you expect of a peoples that eat rats?' -- probably the best line in the part of the book I read.)

I guess Mitt didn't think tying his dog to the roof of his car for a family trip qualified as a vice. Personally, I think Twilight and Battlefield Earth pale before that.

It is amazing that you can compare Ron Paul to the fastest sprinters just as you can compare him to the brightest minds. Imagine if Ron Paul is President and the US Olympic Team visits the White House which they tradtionally do, you would have RP getting the respect from the athletes as they do for him as a leader of a country as wel as a leader of freedom.
