David Cameron must tell truth on Libya

As the Mirror reveals today, British military involvement in Libya is disturbingly more extensive than David Cameron admits.

The ex-Special Forces personnel caught on camera in Misrata prove British boots are on the ground - and have been for some time.
Mr Cameron created the impression three months ago that this war would be over swiftly yet it's now clear that mission creep is pulling our country deeper into an expensive and dangerous conflict.

The RAF went from threatening to shoot down Gaddafi's airforce to bombing targets on the ground. And our vulnerable Apache attack helicopters will signal a new phase in the fighting.
Evidence is mounting that Mr Cameron wasn't straight with the public.
The bill is rising towards £1billion and the promised Arab allies turned out to be a fig leaf while Britain and France do the fighting.
Mr Cameron should come clean in the spirit of the "new politics" he has talked about.
No one wants British lives put at risk. But is the Government paying for private security teams in Libya? And if not, who is?

The Democrats wage war and kill people to "save" lives. The Republicans wage war and kill people to "take" lives. Both sides will say that the ends justify the means, yet the means and the ends are exactly the same either way. Though their actions and results are identical, they comfort themselves by pretending that one side is "compassionate", and the other side is "tough".

The road to hell is paved by Democrats, and the Republicans drive tanks down that road.
