she seems frustrated with GOP leadership, and thinks 3rd party is possible if they don't get act together.

My my. That's a shot across the bow, isn't it?

she won't rule out 3rd party candidacy.

I see a Trump/Palin or Palin/Trump ticket emerging.

If she pulls a weiner, will get a lot more people interested

That would be bad.

3rd party: Trump/Palin or Palin/Huckabee 19% (I do not think Donald wants to be VP, just as Palin may not want VP again)
Republican: Paul/Bachman 31%
Libertarian: 7%
Obama 43%

no way the libertarian party, or any other 3rd party run, is going to get 7%

no way would Ron Paul pick neo-con patriot act Bachmann for VP
Trump would be vital on the ticket so they could self fund. Palin might be willing to be a power sharing VP (based on the original Reagan-Ford 1980 proposal, or the Bush Cheney model)
Libertarian not viable or needed if Paul running, add 7% to Paul total

election goes to House and Senate if Trump carries a couple of states

Paul would likely exceed 7% as the Libertarian nominee. I would guess more than 20%.

Would the Libertarian Party offer Palin their nomination? would probably make Mary Ruwart cringe.

I have no idea if they would or wouldn't, but it could work well for them if they did. If she got 5 or more percent of the vote, that would make them eligible for public funding right?

That si a knee slapper there, public funding of a libertarian candidate.

I'd say more than double digits. Not sure about 20% since a lot of those who like her really really don't like Obama, but I could be wrong.

They gave it to Barr... I think they'd be thrilled. And Mary Ruwart would join the Boston Tea Party (except they might change their name)

I really like Mary Ruwart, but she is only one person, sort of like Ron in congress.

Now you and I both know that you didn't REALLY mean that you are going to vote obama.

I meant Libertarian/CP/Other combined. Normally they would not. My guess is that category would be higher considering Trump/Palin Tea Party would cause more people to look at other parties. You also would have more disaffected Obama Democrats that will not vote for Republican nor Trump/Palin that would vote LP this time around.

I threw Bachman in there in since I am just taking a guess that the Paul camp will figure on needing a female establishment candidate to keep the GOP base from defecting to Trump/Palin.

If Ron makes the nomination I would not be suprised he compromises on his VP pick to keep the Republican base from defecting.

Palin is to much of a shill to run third.
