Does Ron Paul support a balanced budget amendment? If so, why doesn't he talk about it more often and why hasnt he cosponsored House Joint Resolution 56 (H.J.Res.56) which would limit federal spending to a maximum of 18% of GDP. Yes, I know for most of us here that's even too much, but it's a first step to making the necessary and painful cuts to the federal budget and would be a future restraint on the federal government growing as large as it is now. Obviously a RP presidency would will submit a much lower budget ;)

I remember in his CPAC speech that he said even if the federal budget were balanced, it would still be spending too much.

Obviously 18% is too much, but it's a start and a future restraint. We can't just expect every president in the future to be as great as Presidents Ron and Rand Paul.
