The Alaska accent is mix of Upper midwestern and some other stuff. Sarah Palin's accent is like a slightly warped version of a UP or Minnesota accent. I think that's why she reminds ppl of Palin.

It's more than just accent though..it's the appeal that conservative Sarah Palin brings to the table.
