I'm bit surprised that Obama has not watergated him abu ghraib style looking at what he has been accused/suspected of so far even if he was not convicted of war crime charges filed against him by US military prosecutors.

West is an neocon tool.

“I can tell you as an executive officer when we did not have enough money to buy tools to repair our howitzers, or we did not have enough money to get toilet paper for some of our soldiers,” West continued. “We did not have enough money to buy the ammunition so that guys could stay out on the rifle range. And we find ourselves going down that exact same path.”

That may be true, but NOT because "the military doesn't have enough money," but rather because the military is a massive bureaucracy with all the inefficiencies you'd expect.

In other words, you might have $0 for toilet paper, but tens of thousands more than you need for copy paper. It's about an inefficient bureaucracy putting money in the wrong pot, rather than a lack of money in general. Just throwing more money at the problem won't solve it.

West was in the military 22-years- he knows the problem isn't a lack of funding, but rather a problem of ineffective disbursement of funds.

He knows the truth, but has chosen to bull shit voters for political reasons as he wants a much more massive military and wants to go to war with Islam. He's a Holy Warrior who won't be happy until the US taxpayer funds a war against every Islamic nation in the world.

If you're waiting for Beck to slam West and jump off of his bandwagon, you might want to grab a Snickers...

Jack Hunter remarked of West on his Facebook page:

"Here's the exact opposite of Mitt Romney-a politician who changes his mind based on investigation and reflection instead of political opportunism. There is no obvious political benefit for West in doing this. Good for him. Take note conservatives

Defense spending is the maze no rat can run.

It starts with Congress spending in areas it wants to spend, not always what the Army wants. Congress wants to spend on new toys built in everybody's Congressional district. The Army wants operational stuff like food, fuel, ammunition and spare parts.

The result of 10 years of war is a lot of equipment is worn out and needs rebuild, but Congress wants to buy new - this kills the budget and kills the Army because a few units get new stuff while most units have worn out equipment they can't get repaired.

OK enough of me, back to the well considered opinions of the Internet experts.
