This just makes me laugh...

Right Direction or Wrong Track (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/right_direction_or_wrong_track)

Seventy-two percent (72%) of Political Class voters still believe the country is heading in the right direction. Seventy-six percent (76%) of Mainstream voters disagree.

The Political Class thinks it is going in the right direction because they benefit. They aren't stupid, nor is it Ivory Tower syndrome. More power to the individual means less power to Government and the Political Class -- they do not like this -- so of course they like anything that increases their power and redistributes wealth from individuals to themselves or their puppet quasi-State companies. The State is a giant fucking racket, no different than Al Capone or Baby Face.

A perfect example is Capital Hill's operating budget... it has DOUBLED in the past 10 years and FY2010 budget was increased by 14.5%.

Congressman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz ran the show then, and they flaunted big cuts of hundreds on millions on C-SPAN TV?/Radio... but reviewing her budgets closely one discovers, that after budget "SUPPLEMENTALS" were hidden in "OTHER" budget legislation throughout the Fiscal Year. So look for more behemoths of Granite/Marble/Brass/Bronze/Security bastion tucked in different, totally non-related bills to come.

The Overlords of DC love sticking their Imperial Empire bills onto the peasants backs.
