What Rand Paul’s Patriot Act victory says about the tea party

Reid on Wednesday personally attacked Paul on the floor, with rhetoric that suggested the Kentucky senator's proposals would abet terrorist enemies of the United States.

"When the clock strikes midnight tomorrow, we will be giving terrorists the opportunity to plot against our country undetected," Reid said, referring to the law's expiration this week. "The senator from Kentucky is threatening to take away the best tools we have for stopping them."

Well.. Harry Reid Stole the US Senate seat from Nevada in 2010... he's a crook alright, so is his son, Rory. Nevadans would be better off with the Italian Mafia running the state/Gaming Industry, instead of this totalitarian Fascism between corporate Casinos and Government.

Good points guys. I did reveal my gnorance about Senate leaders of the past.
I was just thinking of dirty harry when I answered this question. Only other Senate leaders I vaguely knew were Daschle and Frist and Lott and back then there was no youtoob.
