Rep. Justin Amash

The House of Representatives failed to remove a provision from the annual Defense Authorization bill that would give the President virtually unlimited war-making power in Libya and elsewhere, rejecting an amendment by freshman Republican Justin Amash of Michigan by a 187-234 vote.

Thank you for this Congressman Amash. It is so disheartening. What we have is a young, brave Congressman who has the balls to speak out in front of a crowd in which every single person is either older than him, or has more "experience" aka time in service than him. He schooled nearly every single one of them, with the exception of the very few that are aligned with him.

The irony here is, the young man is creating a law that demands the President and the Congress obey the original law. How sad is that?
