Earlier today, we covered (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/ed-schultz-laura-ingraham-is-a-right-wing-slut/) Ed Schultz’s shocking statement that Laura Ingraham is a “right-wing slut.” As a result of his comments, MSNBC has suspended Schultz for one week without pay. TPM has more (http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/05/msnbc-suspends-ed-schultz-for-a-week-after-slut-remark.php):

Schultz will “address” the statement on his 10 p.m. MSNBC primetime show Wednesday, the network said.

NBC News/MSNBC released the following statement (http://www.nbcuniversal.presscentre.com/Content/Detail.aspx?ReleaseID=5024&NewsAreaID=2&ClientID=7) earlier this evening:

MSNBC management met with Ed Schultz this afternoon and accepted his offer to take one week of unpaid leave for the remarks he made yesterday on his radio program. Ed will address these remarks on his show tonight, and immediately following begin his leave. Remarks of this nature are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Nope, they've always been. Even before there was a 'Conservative' network.

The irony is that for the first time in Ed's life, he was right.

I never could understand how anyone can watch him... He takes spin to a whole new level. He is proud to be an economically ignorant Marxist. You would think even the liberal networks would drop these bums if for nothing else ratings. I guess it is hard to make those kind of calls when you not operating with a full deck...or conscience.

Meh, to me, it's like a banhammer or "ignore".

Even for jerk like that, I hate to see it happen.

Kind of defeats the purpose, I think.

Liberals like him will never give anyone credit for voluntarily helping others out outside the government bureaucracy. And that it would likely be much more effective, including natural disasters. Plus they ignore the selfishness of moral hazzard by choosing to live in tornado alley.

I do as well, it is my news channel of choice to watch. Far more entertaining than watching Beck whimper.

No need to apologize for embarrassing the company...they do a pretty good job of it already.

I would have been content with a somewhat shorter apology. I don't even know if slick willy took that long after the semen stained dress surfaced.
