I don't trust David Walker at all. He's just another globalist among the many out there. I'm already against raising the debt limit, but if he's for it, I'm even more against it.

Agreed. He came out for some fiscal restraint with regard to medicare and SS but only because he wants the con to keep running and he knows those are 100% certain game killers.

Goddamn Walker - good at pointing out problems, terrible on solutions.
He supported the bailout
http://articles.cnn.com/2008-10-06/politics/walker.bailout_1_credit-crunch-trillion-bailout?_s=PM:POLITICS

Looking down the middle, what I found downright unnerving was how hard Washington struggled to pass a bill that, in reality, represents less than 1 percent of our current federal financial hole.

Don't get me wrong. Congress and the Bush Administration are to be commended for acting to relieve the credit crunch and trying to minimize any immediate, adverse effect on our economy and by consequence, on American jobs and access to credit.

He supported the stimulus too, and later complains that neither it nor the bailout was 'done right'
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/jan/27/stimulus-bill-a-moving-target/

The economic-stimulus bill being fashioned by the Obama administration and Congress fails in many cases to meet the standards for stimulus spending, the former head of a congressional watchdog agency said Monday.

“There’s no question there are a number of items on the table that do not meet the ‘timely, targeted and temporary’ criteria” for true stimulus spending, said David M. Walker, who served as comptroller general and head of the Government Accountability Office (GAO) from 1998 to 2008.

Mr. Walker criticized the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), the $700 billion financial bailout that Congress approved in October, for not being sufficiently transparent and for lacking a gatekeeper.

Guess what Walker, the government hardly ever does anything 'right', that's why they should hardly ever do anything.

What does the debt ceiling has to do with the 14'th amendment?

What does the debt ceiling has to do with the 14'th amendment?

Section 4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.

Yes, I know...doesn't make any sense as an excuse to raise the debt limit

Yup. The man he works for, Pete Peterson, is one of the most evil men in this entire country.
