Had no idea end times prophecy had become a "Christian movement" now, thought it was just few extremists. Top Yahoo news headline now:

Its gotten very dark here now in the Seattle area. Just yesterday there was a very bright object in the sky, and now....just dark and gray...what does it mean?

That might be a false flag diversion, it is supposed to start in New Zealand first:

After spending months traveling the country to put up Judgment Day billboards and hand out Bible tracts, Camping follower Michael Garcia planned to spend Friday evening with his family at home in Alameda, near the Christian media empire's Oakland headquarters.

They believe it will likely start as it becomes 6 p.m. in the world's various time zones.

"We know the end will begin in New Zealand and will follow the sun and roll on from there," said Garcia, a 39-year-old father of six. "That's why God raised up all the technology and the satellites so everyone can see it happen at the same time."

Lol, because God needs technology to give everyone a front row seat to the end of days.

Sharon Moss, who founded AfterTheRapturePetCare.com to provide post-apocalypse animal care, said a new wave of customers has paid $10 to sign up in the last few weeks.

"A lot of people have said you should be out there saving souls not saving pets but my heart says `why can't you do both?'" said Moss, who identifies herself as Protestant.

hahahaha, o.m.f.g.

Camping, however, will be awaiting Jesus Christ's return for the second time. He said his earlier apocalyptic prediction in 1994 didn't come true because of a mathematical error.

"I'm not embarrassed about it. It was just the fact that it was premature," he told The Associated Press last month. But this time, he said, "there is...no possibility that it will not happen."

Anyone doing an interview with him today? or better yet tomorrow?

It's the media's attempt to discredit ALL Christians. It's intentional.

Exactly.

Only those lacking reading comprehension would see this as a "discredit" of Christianity as a whole.

It was a Christian minister doing all the stupid Koran-burning publicity stunt crap.

It was supposed Christians who linked, and continues to link, natural disasters to a nation's godlessness, or tolerance.

The list could go on, but the point is that those are individuals who happen to name themselves Christians. I don't really see how any of them was used to slander Christianity at large, save by a few internet jockeys who live for a chance to paint with their broad brushes.

Agreed.
It was one guy/group leading the media attention campaign and ofcourse media complied in full force.

No rapture today, folks. It is already 6PM in many places, and I haven't heard of earthquakes in those places yet. The guy said that the rapture would be rolling along according to timezone (very convenient for westerners, who get plenty of time to repent, etc), and it apparently isn't.

Just another 'religious people are nuts' story to bolster why we need the scientific state to save man (a position that is anti-liberty). The very idea of God must be destroyed by those who seek absolute power - there can not be two masters. Especially a power that can not be seal team six'd to help pave the way for the march of the power whores.

Yep. The scientific state is the greatest threat to liberty the world has ever known. ANYTHING can be sacrificed in the name of science...anything.

I think dogmatic ideas about anything are the greatest threat to liberty. To say that religion or science are the greatest threats is a bit biased.
