Help them see that this "supposed" tv commercial is TERRIBLE.

I cannot for the life of me think how anyone could actually believe this thing would be positive unless they believe the audience is some how brain-damaged to degree.

This is VERY important, MARKETING, what this portrays to people in my opinion is that Paul has to get ACTORS (bad ones at that) to speak out a script which could be a script for ANY politician. Paul is better than that because he is not just "any politician"......

Please, if there are "ears to hear" let them know that this will NOT work to endear people to anything let alone find "hope for America".....let's actually hear something from Paul himself or quotes from our fore fathers over OBVIOUSLY scripted "compliments" by what looks like poor actors.

This is the whole shebang and MARKET COMPETITION should prevail....FREE markets should BRING the "best" and "innovation" and this is waaaayyyyy below even average.

I am sorry if this hurts somenone's pride or discretion but honestly this gives me a NEGATIVE feeling towards the candidate if I didn't know Paul from Adam (which is his situation precisely).

Dear LORD save us. Amen.

*sigh*

You could have dug an old thread out and posted that in there, but noooo....

You know how people say Ron Paul supporters can be annoying? See... this right here... that's what they are talking about.

everyone wants their own soapbox as I see it, instead of a shared soapbox. be it their own domain and blog or own thread. good in some ways, bad in others. I am sure verisign is LOVING the rush on ronpaul everything.com they are making a killing off the fees they charge to all providers now.

It's passion, Ron is held to a very high standard and some feel it could be improved upon. I liked the commercial IMHO and think it's aimed at a different demographic then what we'd expect to see in ours.

On the net you get what, 10-30 seconds before someone closes the link if it doesn't stand out. There are a thousand voices participating in this campaign by virtue of our mutual desire to see him elected. If we post constructive criticism or detailed ideas for material it would have a larger impact then uncoordinated displeasure. My 0.02 anyway, peace :D

Along those lines I think it would be interesting if they ran an ad showing all the people who support him that he has personally delivered. He mentioned a few already and having those people say why they are voting for Ron in a Radio Shack/Apple type commercial would be awesome. I'm voting for Ron because blah blah blah and ohh yeah, he delivered me.

I'm sorry....

I didn't know this had already been a buried subject as I was gone all day and came home and saw the ad and reacted....I guess it has already been discussed at naseum???

Just a big let down when you are hoping to see some great things happen in the future.....reality kinda sucks compared to dreams.

I will say that there is so much out there than could be copied that people have already done it is incredible and is POWERFUL stuff. Just hope we can tap into some of that OR just see some of Paul's record!!

Some of you folks have to remember... The Netroots has a reckless disregard for copyrights.

Most of the derivative videos which have appeared on the net are ones the campaign couldn't officially use due to opening themselves up to infringement claims. They have to create truly ORIGINAL stuff.

So... if any of you feel you can do better while not using anything that's already copyrighted, go right ahead.

yeah...I figure anything from network broadcast is out but Paul gives speeches everyday so I don't see how hard it would be to "grab" some film of some "dynamite".

As an older person I care about what a politician actually stands for rather than hearing strangers say good things-------reason: Kuccinich and any of the other Socialists have people that would say the same things about them (if that makes sense to anyone....

so "cut to the chase" instead of "buttering up" (because I have found that stores that charge double what they ought to often advertise "low prices".....being a LIAR & CROOK is par for the political course and much of "sales" out there (and no one is going to be able to differentiate the difference without some "proof"......a 20 year record is "proof" if people can actually hear it.

fj45lvr, Get over with it. Ron said on Adam Curry, he is in charge of running the campaign and if you want Ron for commander in chief, you better get use to a man with 20+ yrs doing what he thinks is best. How many times have you won office?

Well, you know, it's hard to get that out in 27 seconds of commercial. I do believe we need a commercial to set the stage for the other 4 to come. So many people have heard that he's a nutjob, is a fringe candidate, whatever. I think this ad was intended to calm that down a bit, before they hit them with the harder stuff in the next 4 ads. Remember there is going to be 5 in all.

Yes, they can do better than what they did in this first attempt at this ad and they need to. But, I'm not against using supporters to set the stage and get people to thinking. Not at all. They were able to get out a whole lot of things in those 27 seconds and could say things that wouldn't fit right coming out of a candidate's mouth.

I look forward to their 2nd attempt on this ad.
