The infamous Tom of MySpace just sent a message to all MySpace users (hate when they do that) advertising an Obama event on MySpace on Oct 29. I went to the main contact page and sent them this:

"I just got a message from Tom advertising Obama on MySpace on Oct 29.

I would be much more interested in seeing MySpace host Ron Paul. He's the most unique candidate in the field, has the most powerful message, and is the dominant focus of buzz on the internet - especially MySpace. Check your own stats! (I know, I have friends at MySpace.)

Don't be like the mainstream media - they already pimp the other candidates enough. Be real - get some street cred - give us Ron Paul!

If you're on MySpace, and have a moment, consider doing the same (use your own words, though).

I'd be willing to bet that Myspace was paid by the Obama campaign for this though? or...?

EDIT: Guess not.

MySpace is owned by News Corp which also owns Fox News. Also, front page advertisements go for around $1 million a day so my guess is Obama's campaign paid for it.

Luckily, GOOG's market cap is $210.57 Billion, making GOOG a little difficult for news corp to buy up and manipulate too =)

The day GOOG is bought up is the day I sail to New Zealand with a sat phone and all of my gold.

Am I missing something? They have hosted Edwards already, and I was under the impression they'll be hosting Ron Paul soon as well as most of the other candidates on certain dates. Hope it's soon, though.

He's all over the MySpace Impact page. Every other comment is "RON PAUL 2008!"
