Maybe O Duce's just waiting to sign off on the AUMF, which will render the WPA null and void.

The bill would also give the president the ability to attack an individual, group, or nation without Congressional approval.

Rand and some other senators wrote a letter to Obama on this. A link to an article on that is on www.drudgereport.com through the left column near the top.

All 6 of them. It's so pathetic how CONgress allowed the executive branch to usurp their power to declare via the WPA, and now they won't even enforce the end run!

One of the (many (http://spectator.org/blog/2011/05/18/war-powers-act)) problems with the WPA is,

"Love is like war: easy to begin but very hard to stop."
- H. L. Mencken

As far as Libya goes:

"To wage a war for a purely moral reason is as absurd as to ravish a woman for a purely moral reason."
-H.L. Mencken

Well, knowingly SO-CALLED "NATO Forces" would hit the US War Powers Act today (May 20th)... so they sink the Libyan Navy last night.

They must have those new 'Flying Ships' in the "NO FLY ZONE".

Military alliance "sinks eight vessels belonging to Gaddafi" amid increasing pressure aimed at weakening Libyan leader.

Bump. Of course, this was always an illegal war because Libya never posed a threat to the United States (and the War Powers Act therefore cannot be invoked) but Obama invoked it anyway, and now even his 60 day authorization under WPA has expired, so in any context, it's now an illegal war.

We saw some soldiers try to refuse orders under the birther issue. I'd like to see some refuse orders under the illegal war issue as you spelled out.

This is just unbelievable statement by John McCain

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/05/18/republican-senators-press-president-on-war-powers-deadline/?iref=allsearch

McCain said he doesn't believe the War Powers Act is constitutional and therefore he doesn't believe the president needs congressional authorization to continue the mission.

"I've NEVER recognized the Constitutionality of the War Powers Act, nor has any president, either Republican or Democrat," McCain said.

John McCain next statement? "I don't believe in the voters demands or Rule Of Law..."

Naturally, Obama is telling the US Congress and the people that he, King Obama, doesn't NEED our permission to engage in war in violation of the unconstitutional WPA because of our "limited" involvement. Oh, brother. If there ever was a time for an article of impeachment of a sitting POTUS, err king, it's NOW!
