This is really about the nanny state and political correctness/socialists gone wild.

First they came for the candy machines in schools - but we didn't use them so did nothing.

then they went after the bake sales, but we rarely went so didn't stand up for them.

Then they got cartoon characters removed fro sugary cerial boxes - but you eat granola so didn't care.

then they went after the lemonade stands but it didn't seem worth it.

Then went the nativity scenes... but we're largely agnostic - so wtf...

But now they are going after Ronald... whatcha gonna do???

Yeah there was a lady on fox news yesterday from the advocacy group trying to get Ronald taken away yesterday. Martha did a good job. She talked about how McDonalds doesn't force us to buy their food so what's the problem. The liberal argument was that kids like clowns so they'll want to go to McDonalds to see the clown and eat. Bla bla bla nothing new.

I want to add that I think it's better for the free market to work through advocacy groups to enact change as opposed to government doing it. I agree that McDonalds is bad for people that eat a bunch of it. Of course there are tons of other facts that go into it to. I do not think that government should be involved. They aren't in this case. I have no problem with people eating McDonalds. Let people do what they want. Nobody is forcing anyone to do anything.

A recession is when your neighbor decides he's not going to buy that new motorcycle so he can be part of your motorcycle club on the weekends (even though you know he has the money for it).

A depression is when the motorcycle shop goes out of business, your neighbor loses his job, and he has to ask to borrow your motorcycle so he can go find a job.

I hate the food Nazis. Damn liberals trying to tell us what to do with our lives. If the kids have good parents, then they will know McDonalds isn't meant to be eaten 7 days a week. Besides, not like the kids have jobs to buy the meals themselves.
