I'm curious. Do any of you suspect/know that you are on the infamous "no fly list" or any other list like that? If so, do you know why, or is there a chance it's because you post here? I'm curious as it's taking way longer than it should for my government mandated employment screening to come through, especially considering the fact that I've never even been suspected of an actual crime. The check consists of standard stuff like criminal record, credit check, but also something called a "loyalty check". I asked the girl at the employment agency WTF is a loyalty check and she said no one ever asked that before, and she had no idea what it meant!:eek:

It's probably exactly what you suspect it is. Check out Truman's Executive Order, the "Loyalty Order":

"loyalty check" and "position of public trust" are two "clearances" being pushed these days by DHS. For a good explanation look up colonostomy w/ microscopic enhancement... Friend of mine was looking at getting one of these things for a LE contractor position and after reading through the questions, I was left with the impression that it would be easier to get a TS/SCI w/ a TLA. They were having problems with him, as they were not sure they could polly a contractor for that position. You know - Ve understand yer great, great grandmother signed a petition for the socialist workers party in 1903 type stuff....

RUN AWAY!

Kind of like the new passport application they are trying to push through. Where did your mother live 9 months before you were born? Who was present at your birth? List exact dates of every job you have had, your managers name and his contact information as well as everyplace you have ever lived. CIA only cares about the past 10 years! Jesus - this country is out of control!

OK - to be fair, it's not as bad as a lifestyle polly... there were no questions like: have you ever performed cunnilingus? But they were damn invasive!

Almost undoubtedly. I nearly lost my shit when she told me that in 5 years of her working there, no one ever asked what it meant before.
