Bill Maher is a socialist, pure and simple.

I used to think Maher was okay but now he's a complete joke.

Can we please figure out who the partisan hacks are and ignore them?

Maher has his faults, but he kills it here:

I, like the rest of you, have some strong disagreements with Maher, but overall i enjoy his show and his humor. Although, there are times when I absolutely can't stand it and have to change the channel. I think his description of Ron Paul in the OP was fair and pretty funny.

I wish he'd have some more libertarians on his panel, but he usually just has conservatives, progressives and someone in between.

He would never have an intelligent conservative on his show. No Thomas Woods, no Judge Napolitano, no Walter Williams, no Thomas Dilorenzo...instead he books David Frum as a repeated guest to get the "conservative perspective" what a joke!

he had breitbart once, and he rightly called maher on calling himself a libertarian while supporting forced healthcare

yea, it's pretty frustrating... and he most definitely is a shill for the left.

I can't pinpoint why, but I still tend to enjoy his show most of the time when I tune in.

Well - in fairness - Bill Maher is right about Ron Paul. He just did not complete the quote.

Ron Paul - "I hate the gov't (because it does not work as it promises.)"

Not everyone who disagrees with you is a shill.

I know. But Bill Maher is one. He constantly shills for democrats and rips on republicans, and I'm no fan of republicans either, but c'mon... Bill Maher is a total shill for democrats, how is that not obvious?

No doubt. Watching him carry water for Obama and the wars and the torture is just painful.

Unless Bill has changed his tune since last time around, he loves Ron Paul - has had him on his show at least a couple of times:

Yea, He's always been pretty friendly towards Ron Paul. My gut tells me it's because Ron Paul rips on republicans as much as Bill Maher does, haha.

Once a year maybe, and never on the panel for the full hour. That doesn't constitute "love" in my book.

I get the feeling that Maher is searching for answers. He'd find most of them if he had Thomas Woods and the Judge on for an hour. We'd probably convert him rather easily.

Of course, the RP moment was giving Ron's theme after commenting that he'd been in congress 31 yrs; hinting that if Ron hated it that much, why was he still involved.Funny enough, though.

Bill Maher is an Israel Firster. He would send Americans to die for Israel. Ron Paul would not. That is why Bill Maher will never give total support for Ron Paul.

You're assuming Paul's never been asked. But you're right Maher is searching, however it's not answers he's searching for.
