I am not a facebook fan of Ron Paul, I don't link to or use facebook for anything but people I really know in person. Sure I've shaken RP's hand a few times, but I do not know him as a friend in person.
Therefore no FB. and it doesn't mean anything good, or bad.

This shouldn't be a surprise. During the 2008 campaign, Facebook was just getting started. Most of the people on Facebook were internet junkies like us, so Ron Paul had way more fans than any other politician on facebook. Times have changed. Now everyone is on facebook, and the "likes" are more proportionate to the actual voter population.

In the last hour and a half Romney's facebooks like have fallen from 1,131,925 to 1,131,909. This is the first time I've seen it go down, maybe the start of something new. He now joins with Bachmann and Perry in having a period of negative total likes.

lol You guys are missing the point. Sure, this is just talking about words and doesn't matter, but for example:

if you have 3 cookies and your friend has 1 cookie, you do NOT have 3 cookies more than your friend. You have 2 cookies more, which is 2 times more cookies. Or you can say you have 3 times as many cookies (1 times 3 = 3).

This doesn't even matter but it sort of bothers me reading this on a ron paul forum, because libertarians are much more likely to think about what they say before they say it, so please do so ....this is 2nd grade mathematics. :)

Romney spent 50K on his facebook ads, to get over 1 Million Likes?. Likes are about .30cents apiece when you have a company that is doing the work for you and we KNOW, Romney has hired the best of the best, the most expensive ... and .30 is dirt cheap. You've got to include the staff and the company that actually does the work and there's other costs as well. Currently at 1,132,114 Likes, even if they were a nickel apiece, that's a bit over 55G's.

For every 100 Likes there is an average "Unlike" factor of about 3-5%, and with political campaigns the "Unlike" factor is much, much higher, people come and go. Romney has paid dearly for those Likes, and they will begin to evaporate at some point.
