Bill Bennett is pissed at Newt for dissing Paul Ryan's "right-wing" budget. Newt sounds like he's taken a few of Ron Paul's talking points.

What does he think, that this is moderate? He must think he's going to meet the progressive/liberal crowd and the conservative crowd in the middle and win. He won't get either one's vote.

I'd like to think so, but if the SOB can convince the moderates that he's right and we're all wrong, he'll win. This is why I am glad I am involved in the party. The liberty minded people have made it a point to build bridges these past 4 years, and now we are able to point out major deviances from conservative philosophy in other candidates without others getting defensive. None of the delegates in my precinct have any interest at all in voting for Newt.

Should have heard him on Meet the Press praising the ex-Democrat Reagan for being 'center-right'. As if this isn't Reagan's policies that got us nearly fifteen trillion in debt.

He's as stuck in the Eighties as his hair.

The man is a horrible con artist. I'll even go so far as to say he comes from the same filth producing rats nest as Lieberman. It really bothers me to the core that we can have Lieberman calling out Julian Assange to be tried for "treason" when the man isn't even an American citizen. He fires away at the New York times for allowing the American people to know what is going on in the government they pay and die for. Calling for an investigation and criminal charges. Lieberman is one of the most treasonous men to stand foot on our soil, and it's all done under the guise of "fighting terrorism" and "helping Israel". Look, I don't even like Obama but boy did Lieberman stab him in the back. You don't do that. You never stab someone in the back. Smile at them and shake their hand, and when they turn around stab the dagger into the spinal column. How wretched.

Ok. I started this as a response to Newt. But as soon as typed Lieberman's name my blood rage took over and I went off on a rant. Sorry about that. If anyone is interested I can start a very long thread detailing the treasonous, poisonous, dangerous Lieberman. Thanks guys.

Yeah. This. I hate to say it though, but there are too many people who look at Gingrich the way they do Romney, which is to say 'they ignore who he really is and support him for who he really isn't.'

You can't be for freedom if you support Obamacare.

How is that a Ron Paul talking point? It's more of a Barack Obama talking point.

Yeah..you're right. I had to type this one up in a hurry and wasn't too specific.

I think what I meant was that he is trying to sound middle of the road, as he is attacking what he called" right-wing social engineering" on the Meet the Press show this weekend. Bill Bennett was in a gloomy mood and said that Gingrich made a huge mistake and that he was toast. I guess those were fighting words. LOL

We all know that Freedom is Popular, according to Ron Paul. Gingrich may be trying to sound middle of the road to attract the independents, but I don't think it will work.

No, Newt is saying vouchers for medicare is 'social engineering and goes too far'. Ryan's plan is putrid because it gives the store away to special interests at the cost of taxpayer/beneficiaries, exactly as Obamacare does, and even then doesn't balance the budget for twenty years....but not because it is 'social engineering'. Newt is playing games to get elected.

Here's a blog article about my original post. By Byron York, who is often on Bill Bennett's show. Made Drudge Report.
