Anyone notice this? The first one is probably a good thing, but collecting federal taxes, then giving the states less than they had previously paid out and told them they are responsible for Medicare/Medicaid. Well, that's the proposal. After establishing dependence on federal funds, shortchanging state university funding leading to a budget crisis. Our state raided the teachers pension fund and a fund to clean up the bay, but they have a looming public workers pensions fund problem. The state has also been following the Feds lead of borrowing money every year, and never paying it back - just interest.

Now, don't expect the federal government to lower taxes, even though they are giving less of it back in these and many other ways, but the states are almost all in debt crises - which means raising taxes.

Where do you think this is going to go? I'm thinking the states get blamed, a lot of people migrate to not as oppressive states, which makes the situation worse in the oppressive states and many going bankrupt and the people blaming the states.

Any other opinions?
