Bob and Sarah wake up at 6:00 a.m. and make coffee with nine dollar a pound "Eco-friendly, Fair Trade Coffee Beans" packaged in 90% recycled material. Across the state in a small country town, Jack enjoys his three dollar a pound generic coffee beans he purchased for half the price, due to greedy capitalists that strive to provide lower cost products than their competitors.

After watching a few minutes of Obama talking on CNN, Amy starts cooking breakfast for her two teenage children. She calls the pediatrician to figure out when they will be able to fit in her daughter, to check out a nagging cough. The doctor's offices sets up an appointment three weeks away. By the time she is finished with the call, Jack is already on the way to the cash only clinic that is open 24/7 for walk in patients. Due to the free market, he won't have to wait weeks to seek treatment for his daughters ear infection.

Before leaving the clinic, Jack pays $60 dollars in cash out of his own pocket. Three weeks later, the bill for Bob and Sarah's doctor's visit is $300 dollars. But that's fine, because Obama Care will pass on the cost to every taxpayer in the nation. Of course, the income tax does not even cover the interest on the national debt even more, so Sarah figures it won't hurt the FED to print another $300 dollars to loan the government.

Three weeks later, Sarah finds out she has breast cancer. Since her cancer is only in stage one, she is put at the bottom of the waiting list to see a specialist. An Obama Care panel considers her situation less serious than that of other patients. The same week, Jack finds out he has a tumor. Instead of dealing with bureaucracy and waiting lists, he travels out of the United States and has it removed promptly for half of what it would cost in the USA.

While Bob and Sarah try to figure out why the Obama Care system is not working out like they figured it would in their time of need, they change their spending habits to start saving some money. Instead of buying organic, free-range chicken breasts, they purchase a ten pound bag of leg quarters on sale for 79 cents a pound (with their "Super Valuable Customer" card). Darn those insensitive farmers who butcher chickens in mass numbers to provide an affordable product!

Bob and Sarah do research on cancer drugs, and start to pay out of their own pocket for chemotherapy and radiation. Sarah becomes very sick and her hair falls out, while her tumor is barely shrinking. Taking responsibility for his own health, Jack does research on alternative cancer drugs that don't destroy the immune system while killing the cancer. Due to the expense of getting approved by the FDA, they are not available in the USA despite excellent safety data. While Sarah suffers from chemotherapy induced nausea, Jack makes sure his cancer does not return by taking responsibility for his own health, doing his own research, and making his own decisions.

Thankfully, Bob and Sarah have fairly stable jobs. Due to their disgusting, capitalistic frugality of their employers, the companies they work for are not yet in bankruptcy. They breath a sigh of relief for now, but do not realize in six months additional federal regulation will make it difficult for their employer to do business in the marketplace. Jack had foresight to realize the difficult times ahead for his company, and decided to start to start saving for a rainy day. He has also paid off his small home on a couple acres of land. Bob and Sarah are paying off a $300,000 dollar mortgage they knew they could not afford, but signed for because they felt they were "entitled" to such an upscale home. Being underwater after a huge drop in the appraised value of their home, forclosure is in their future. They now start to think twice about how TARP and the bailout helped ordinary folks, if at all.

After working a long day, Bob and Sarah's house is broken into by illegal aliens who happened to be gang members. Sadly, $5,000 dollars they had saved for Sarah's cancer treatment was stolen. For years they had supported amnesty for all immigrants, and opposed the heartless bigots that wanted to secure the borders. After a quick internet search, Bob finds an article about how members of the same gang have been cutting off the heads of police officers in Mexico, and taking over entire towns. He wonders if checking the identity and background of every person who enters the USA might not be a "racist" idea after all!

A couple weeks later, Sarah breaks down in tears at the dinner table because she no longer feels safe in her home. The fact it took the police an hour to arrive after they called and alerted them of the robbery has made her even more upset. Bob decides to install a safety alarm, and to purchase a firearm. For years, he hated the gun nuts who fought for their right to bare arms, but he realizes the need to protect his family. Unfortunately, when he goes to the gun shop the manager informs him of new legislation pushed through by his liberal heroes in Washington. He will have to pay $300 dollars for a background check, a mandatory two week gun safety course will cost him another $200 dollars, and there will be a one month waiting period. There will also be a 20% tax on the single shot rifle (all semi-automatics have been banned), and there is a dollar tax on every round of ammo. Since he has a child, he would be required by the new law to store the firearm in a locked safe. He stops at Walmart on the way home to purchase a baseball bat instead, but that does not do his wife any good two weeks later.

While Jack is safe and sound in his home (with his trusted Glock autoloader on his bedstand), a group of thugs from the same gang breaks into Bob and Sarah's house one night while Bob is away on a business trip. His wife Sarah is raped, his daughter is molested, and his young son is beaten. He gets a call from the police department, and rushes home. While going five miles over the speed limit on a lonely interstate highway, he is pulled over by a police officer. Without making any threats, he accidentally makes the statement, "Why don't you leave me alone, my wife has been attacked for ****ing sake!" This makes the police officer angry, and his vehicle is searched. The cop finds no illegal substances, but notices a tail light is out. He takes his time writing the ticket, and scolds Bob. Finally, Bob is able to resume his trip home wondering why he always used to think the government served the people...

Upon arriving home, he finds his wife talking on the telephone. She turns to him and starts to cry. However, it is not about the rape or the molestation of their daughter. Obama is sending more troops to the middle east. Apparently, a war with Iran might be about to start. Her sister, a private in the Army, is about to be deployed to a base in Iraq. She would love to go spend some time with her, but knows they cannot afford a plane ticket. For a long time she overlooked the fact Obama had not been keeping his original campaign promises from back in 2008, but she finally utters out loud, "damn him for not ending these wars!"

Bob suddenly remembers what a conservative co-worker once told him, "Gun laws guarantee 120 pound women the absolute right to have fist fights with 220 pound rapists."

Sarah is now a nervous wreck, and Bob's work performance is failing. He does not know what to do. Instead of facing reality, he goes online and writes a non-threatening letter to Obama explaining his situation. Out of emotional desperation, he makes a few bold statements about the state of affairs in the nation, but makes no threats or menacing comments. A few days later he goes to work, and notices some men in black suits talking to his supervisor. Later that day, he is called into the human resources office, and is given a termination notice. He asks several questions, but is not given a strait answer. Eventually, he goes to his supervisor and demands to know why he was fired. At first his supervisor discusses the financial challenges the business is facing due to increased government regulation, but then admits the secret service is investigating him. They demanded his employer to share all information they had on him, and participate in an investigation. The company did not want to spend the man hours on such an investigation, so it made more financial sense to fire him. Apparently, this is legal under the Super Patriot Act signed into law by Obama on October 12, 2014.

This is the last straw for Bob's wife, and she decides to take the children and move in with her mother in rural Kansas. Although she had declared her love for multiculturalism for years, the safety of her small home town seemed appealing. However, after making a call she finds out something truly disturbing. Her parents had been in the middle of building a new home on their land, but a three eyed muck fish was found in a stream that ran through their property. Although three eyed muck fish were fairly common elsewhere in the USA, they were endangered in Kansas. The environmentalists started a campaign to save the endangered three eyed muck fish, by pushing for the implementation of a law that allows private property to be seized. Her parents home was now a nature reserve! Her parents were ordered to cease all construction, and leave the property within sixty days. They were about to call to find out if they could move in with her family, in Los Angeles. Sarah was so stunned by the news, she did not even tell them about the attack or her cancer.

Finally, Sarah's "Obama Care" kicked in and she could start receiving chemotherapy paid for by the state. The nausea she had from the treatments was gut wrenching. In addition, an HIV test revealed that she was positive for the virus. She had never cheated on her husband, so it was almost certainly due to the rape. The pills to keep the virus under control also upset her stomach. Every week Sarah was losing weight, due to a combination of not being able to hold down food and a lack of appetite. Since there was a medical marijuana law in California, Bob decided to try to find a place to buy some for his wife. However, he discovered almost all the medical marijuana dispensaries were shut down. They closed after the Federal Government raided them, seized all their product, and imprisoned their owners. Bob wondered how this could be the case, when Obama had promised the federal government would not fight states that created medical marijuana laws. After a lot of searching, he found one underground marijuana shop. However, due to the increased pressure by the federal government, medium quality marijuana sold for one thousand dollars an ounce. He walked out with nothing.

Due to all the chaos happening in their lives, Bob and Sarah decided they should take a serious look at their finances. They were getting more and more in debt each month. This is especially true, since Bob cannot even find a job at a fast food joint. It seems many of the lower paying jobs are taken up by illegal aliens. He used to claim, "immigrants take the jobs American's don't want!" However, he now realizes he wants a job taken by an illegal alien!

After balancing their checkbook and looking over their budget, Bob and Sarah realize they are paying a large portion of their income in taxes. This did not bother them in the past, when they thought it was the price they paid for the government to take care of their every need. However, by the time they add up their income tax, state income tax, social security tax, medicare tax, sales taxes, property taxes, vehicle registration taxes, gasoline taxes, and several others they realize it takes up a large chunk of their income. They start to wonder, how can the government be in debt when they take THIS MUCH MONEY?!!! "Maybe the government DOES need to cut spending?," they ponder.

Then Bob and Sarah realized something horrifying. Their grocery bill had been going up each week for many months, despite the fact they had been buying less and using coupons. It seemed inflation was boosting the price of every product. Every dollar they made was worth less. Bob remembered some man talking about this on TV, and was calling it the "inflation tax." He was complaining about how the FED was printing money out of thin air, which would cause inflation to skyrocket. At the time, Bob did not take him seriously. Now, he realized the man had been telling the truth.

Jack, a small government constitutionalist, had been fully aware of the man on TV. His name was Dr. Ron Paul, and had almost won the Republican nomination for President of the United States. Jack had supported Ron Paul's campaign. He had handed out flyers, attended local meetings, and even made a few donations during "Money Bombs." Jack had also been a frequent poster on a website called, "Ron Paul Forums." He blogged, posted links to important news articles, and even had a blog he referenced.

Late one night, Bob was on the computer as his wife slept. He went to google.com and did a search using the terms, "reduce government and eliminate Federal Reserve." One of the first links was to a blog post made by Jack, which had a link to Ron Paul Forums.

Bob started reading through Jack's blog posts, and became a member of the forum. Reading about the concepts of self-reliance, free markets, and liberty started to resonate through Bob's mind. After a few weeks, he realized big government was not answer and had never been the answer. He then had a revelation...

"If only more liberals like myself had realized Ron Paul was the only candidate supporting true liberty and freedom, maybe he would have won the nomination and became president. Another four years of Obama has not increased freedom, but only resulted in more broken promises. I wish I had known about Ron Paul back in 2012!"

Jack then starts to work on a time flux capacitor to put into his neighbor's old Delorean....
