Should we (or someone) be forming a Political Action Committee?

Why:

It will come in handy when things get nasty
To get around contribution limits
Every other candidate already as at least one PAC behind him

Just thinking out loud.

Thanks for the link. I was having a hard time finding one. Can the admin add the link to the bottom of the page on this forum?

Note the notice at the bottom:

NOTICE TO RON PAUL SUPPORTERS:
Congressman Ron Paul is no longer affiliated with or associated in any way with The Liberty Committee of Falls Church, Virginia. If you receive a solicitation from The Liberty Committee and/or its chairman, Mr. David James, bearing Congressman Paul's name, please be advised that the solicitation was in no way approved or endorsed by Congressman Paul.

Perhaps we can get them to make up?

When I read that I assumed Ron Paul was affiliated with them in the past and now, since funds could be used to support him, there can be no link between the PAC and him (the candidate they support). Did that make sense...?

Anyone know what the deal is?

Here is a thread about starting a 527:

I brought the thread to David James' attention. He's a good guy, but there was a parting of the ways between them. I don't remember the whole story, and think I remember that I never knew the whole story.

you might check out this site about PAC's. It's not yet as exhaustive as it will be.
